COURSE DESCRIPTION: “The 1-Day RYA First Aid course will provide a thorough grounding in first aid techniques with particular reference to small craft afloat.”

In a medical emergency a little first aid knowledge and immediate action can save lives, especially in remote locations. This one-day course is designed to provide a working knowledge of first aid for people using small craft and to support skippers.

It fulfils the requirements for professional skippers of small craft working within 60 miles of safe haven. The course is recommended by the MCA and HSE and satisfies the requirements of some categories of commercial work afloat, including boat masters.

A valid certificate is a requirement for the Coastal Skipper, Yachtmaster Offshore examinations as well as all RYA Instructor and BCU Coaching awards.

Manuals are distributed during the course for attendees to keep which is included in the price. Tea and Coffee will be provided, but you will be expected to provide your own lunch (good facilities are available nearby).
