COURSE DESCRIPTION: The RYA Seamanship Skills course is designed for competent sailors who are looking to improve a broad range of skills and get even more from their time on the water.
Over 2 days you will be able to handle a dinghy in a variety of weather and tidal conditions, refine skills already learnt in previous courses including sailing on all points of sail using the 5 essentials effectively, man overboard recovery, coming alongside and picking up moorings. You will also cover:
· Sailing in adverse conditions
· Sailing without a rudder
· Sailing without a centreboard
· Anchoring
· Sailing backwards
· Reefing afloat
· Road trailering
